The Story behind REPmag

As the founder, Laaibah Amjad, who is hard of hearing and has epilepsy, knows firsthand the challenges of navigating a world where representation for people like herself is often lacking. That's why she's dedicated to creating a platform that empowers individuals of all disabilities, championing diversity, and fostering inclusivity in the fashion industry and beyond.

It's vital that we prioritize showcasing both hidden and visible disabilities to raise awareness about the diverse spectrum of disabilities and foster inclusivity. Hidden disabilities, such as chronic illnesses, mental health conditions, and cognitive impairments, are often overlooked because they aren't immediately apparent. Yet, they can significantly impact a person's daily life and deserve just as much recognition and support as visible disabilities. By shining a light on both types of disabilities, we promote empathy, respect, and equal opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
